I picked this as the first sneak peek, as it's the foundation of everything we teach in PMCA.
If you're going to join PMCA you must first believe that working on the mental game is a +EV use of your time.
I often hear people say:
"I don't think I need to work on my mental game. I'm not a tilt monkey I don't rage and break stuff when I lose."
What they don't realize is that this form of rage tilt is just a drop in the bucket when looking at the mental game as a whole.
If you've ever thought this, you'll be interested to hear how I define the mental game. It will really open your eyes to how wide reaching it really is.
This is a clip from our "Inside The Mind Of..." series featuring Matt Berkey. Matt is a ultra high stakes live player who excels in both cash games and tournaments.
He's also an incredibly deep thinker and works very hard on the mental side of the game.
In this sneak peek Matt and I discuss the white lies poker players tell themselves and the 3 essential questions succesful players must answer.

Sneak Peek #3 is all about getting you ready for SCOOP, or any extended MTT series where you’ll be putting in higher volume than you’re used to, usually with higher buyins as well.
These series’ are huge opportunities, due to the incredible number of high-value tournaments available in a short amount of time. Crushing a series can often be a career-defining moment that levels you up in one quick shot.
Sadly, if you don’t prepare correctly, the opposite can happen. I’ve seen time and time again players who have been crushing have their yearly profits wiped away with a bad SCOOP, WCOOP, or World Series of Poker.
Something I see happen all the time is players going full throttle for the first week of a series, only to burn out for the second half, yet continue trying to push through. This leaves them playing bad poker, with higher volume, and an ABI that is significantly bigger than average. That is a formula for disaster.
But it doesn’t have to be that way. With the right preparation and a solid game plan, you can maintain your A-Game throughout a series, and truly capitalize on the value they provide. This is a huge advantage when a large % of the field is toasted and barely able to play their C-Game
There are very few shortcuts to success in poker, but modeling already successful players is one of them.
Success leaves clues, and most of the time you are left to figure those clues out for yourself.
But that’s not true for Poker Mind Coach Academy members.
One of our monthly live coaching calls is called “Inside The Mind Of” and each month I bring on a highly successful player and have them share the habits, strategies and mindsets that have allowed them to reach the top.
We’ve had on Fedor Holz, Daniel Negreanu, Olivier Busquet, Matt Berkey, Scott Blumstein, and Apestyles just to name a few.
I feel bad not just listing everybody because the content in each of these calls has been so powerful.
It’s a priceless tool to be able to have players of this caliber come and walk you step-by-step through what they do on a daily basis that leads them to success.
When going through these trainings I had a hard time picking out specific clips because each call was just knowledge bomb after knowledge bomb.
So, what I’ve done with this video is created a “Greatest Hits” video with some of my favorite “Inside The Mind Of" Moments
You’ll be hearing from Olivier Busquet, Daniel Dvoress, Apestyles, Chris Kruk and Daniel Negreanu.
Watch this one closely and see if any patterns emerge. Think about how you approach the game vs how they do, in what areas could you model their methods?

It's finally time to take control of tilt.
In Sneak Peek #7, we dive deep into one of the most important topics of the mental game.
If you're aware you have some tilt issues you need to work on, you're going to love this one.
However, if you're thinking...
"Well I don't smash mouses or punch walls, so I don't tilt."
Or...
"Sure I get angry sometimes, but it doesn't affect my play."
Then you REALLY need to watch this one, because chances are you're losing profits to tilt and don't even realize it.
In this video, you’ll hear from Dr. Michael Breus AKA the Sleep Doctor.
Dr. Brues is known as one of the top sleep specialists in the world and regularly works with Professional Athletes, CEO, and Celebrities in his private practice.
He’s also been featured on the biggest talk shows in the US such as Dr. Oz, Oprah Winfrey, and The Doctors.
There are few groups more in need of help with their sleep than poker players given the odd hours you play and the lack of a constrained schedule.
Poor sleep can have a disastrous effect on your poker results. Studies have shown that sleep-deprived individuals perform similarly to someone who is drunk, and worst of all most people who reach this state don’t even know it.
So, sit back, relax, and let Dr. Breus show you how to use Sleep For High-Performance Poker.

This clip comes from one of my personal favorite seminars I’ve run in the academy called: “Master Your Motivation”
Ever wake up feeling completely unmotivated to play? Like the last thing you want to do is get out of bed and grind out a session?
After a rough couple of weeks of poker, do you start to question why you even play this crazy game at all?
Managing motivation is a cornerstone of a successful poker career, and it’s no easy task. Poker will push you over and kick you in the teeth while you’re down.
Even the greatest players in the world struggle with motivation throughout their career, and the one’s who fail to master it are the ones who the game passes by.
In this video you’ll learn why what you think is motivation is actually something else, and why this misunderstanding makes it so hard to find consistent motivation in poker.
Enjoy!
If you don't play you don't get paid.
For a winning player, optimizing your volume is often the quickest way to get ROI on the work you do on your mental game.
As you'll see in Sneak Peek #5, when I say volume I don't strictly mean how long you play in a given session. In fact, there are three components of volume I look to improve when working with a client.
In this sneak peek you'll also learn:
During August's Office Hours live coaching sessions in The Academy I was asked the following question:
"If you could mold someone to have the perfect poker mindset what would they be doing every day and what would that look like? I'm wanting to craft my day after the best and would love to hear a super-specific example."
It's likely no surprise that I was quick to answer Fedor Holz.
In Sneak Peek #9 (the final piece of Open House video content) I share my answer and lay out the blueprint Fedor used to create what I believe to be the strongest poker mindset in the game.
